Dislocated Voice

I do not

I do not want
I do not want to speak

Not much to say
feel so oblique
Both feet fit well
between each set of teeth
Fear of words coming from its mouth
Try to stop them having a life of their own
But it does no good
Take her for a dance and
Blow the deal being too nice
Hesitate once too often and allow
the bacteria to fill the pauses
and eat braincells,
they feast on intellectual potential
The abandonment of virtue
the politics of betrayal and pretending
unwinding resolutions
breakfast upon failure
