Saturn

Spin my explanation for the one we treasure
Look straight at the skin, below the beauty

untie the knotted hair
and feel the teeth bite
listen to the voice
sink in
as that look’s arc spread over the white room
as light falls through the open mouth
the hunger of the house

as people spread over the ground like paint
their numbers dictate meaning

your eyes meet with you dictators
feet cleave the walk-way

you path mapped only by the progress of your falling feet
breathing the guts of industry and discarding your protection
the plastic shell that makes us think
nobody touched it before now drawn into threads
suffocating all forms

your yellow light drowns fear and hope
in the same sordid breath
