Broke down

peering into
rock for clarity

the wounds are clear
weeping in the wind

blood scattered over doorways
filtered epistles strained sage

everything worked for a day
then collapsed in a broken heap

wires and gears
scattered and fell

the ground opened and
fire exhumed the recording
