Passage

You left behind a sense
of forgotten architecture

A swallow drifting into fog
Eyes that turn up at music

Children learning to dance

While we struggle to survive
under the trees

The breeze pulls at your hair
The rain settles on your eyelids

And the sun bears down on your skin
