Her hand

Eyed it around the corner
approaching like a comet it flys
passed him like a bus around the bend
rushing air stretching his sides
his head rattles and his eyes rotate
wild as radishes crazy as a turnip
the wind straightens his hair
and a little eddy does up
his jacket and secures
his tie

the mothers hand remained invisible
for most of the rest of his life
